A couple other important tips:
Don’t eat after 10pm, go to bed hungry! If you eat after ten, most likely that food will sit in your system overnight while your metabolism is turned off. That means it will be absorbed with no burning of the calories consumed.

Drink lots of water. I know we hear it all the time, but it is true. Cut out all pop, even if it is Diet, it does nothing for your body; it’s better for degreasing an old griddle then doing anything for your health.

Write what you eat down. It may seem annoying and cumbersome, but it will help you manage and track your progress.

Cheat once a week. Yup I said it, cheat once a week. This doesn’t mean eat a box of ding-dongs and cheese puffs while chugging a two-liter of pop, polished off with an extra large pizza and four doughnuts. One meal a week have what you want just make it a good portion and don’t “binge eat”. Me, I will have a nice juicy cheeseburger or a couple pieces of pizza. Not a Big Mac or a large Deep Dish, but a buffalo burger with cheese and a small fry or a couple pieces of pepperoni thin crust. This is important to “shocking” your system. If we are constantly burning fat and not putting fat in its place, our body gets accustom to not having fat. It will then over a long enough period of time “learn” to absorb fat when it gets it, due to the restriction of never having it. So once a week we want to give our body that fat, which “tricks” our system into continuing in burning fat, not storing it.
